To blaugust or not? ✍️
Blaugust is a returning blogging event (originally created by Belghast), with the challenge to write daily.
I know, already 7 days have passed and not a single entry. Except for my weekly rewind. So why now?
The truth is that I've been neglecting this blog, and the bear community. I did not want to, but I couldn't get myself to post or read. I wasn't in the mood to write, read, or even post snapshots. While it did look like all was kinda ok-ish through my weekly rewinds, I struggled with many other aspects outside work and sports. My online dopamine craving kept me busy doing the things I needed to do, the things I wanted to do, leaving me empty at the end of the day.
With the restraints I recently put in place and this challenge, I want to commit myself to this blog again, to write dailyish. It feels great when I spend time here, when I hit that publish button, so let me do it more often again.
I've been neglecting other blogs, didn't comment on important updates from people (here or on social.lol), ... so let this challenge help me rectify my behaviour and get back to the blogs and people that have been supporting me. I need to.
With everything I post online, I overthink. I procrastinate.
Should I really post this? Will my (feed) readers be interested?
Doing this challenge will be a way for me to stop overthinking and to just hit the publish button. Unfiltered, raw, short or long, ...
Doing this challenge will be good for me. But also hard, as it will require dedication and effort.
And time. Which I might not have on certain days. Especially on weekends, being active as a parent.
So I'll try to write as often as possible, perhaps not daily, but let me aim for a dailyish schedule.
