Weekly rewind - W07 ⏪
The snowman we managed to build with all the snow we could find.
⏪ Week in rewind
☃️ We've had snow twice this week, which is a big deal as we almost never get snow here. But just as quick as it came, it also disappeared again. Luckily, we had time yesterday to build a snowman with all the snow we could find.
🏃 I had an active week with 1 padel session and 5 runs. Distance-wise I'm not at the point as I was before, but I'm happy I'm out training again. It's also a good opportunity to take some nice shots.
📷 Speaking of shots, I shared my conclusion and tips & tricks on finalizing the 31-day photography challenge I did last year. Key takeaways were the prompts to start looking, getting out is a must and sharing somewhere (very important!).
⚡ While I thought I found my RSS workflow with Fiery Feeds, I partially went back to Reeder. This with a new filtering option update and its ability to add social feeds. I now can read (social.lol, RSS feeds,...) and listen (podcasts) to what I want and can quickly jump from Reeder to the corresponding app (Glass, Ivory,...) if needed to comment.
🤗 For years I've been trying to create and manage websites but never knew what to use them for. Blogging via Bear has been an eye-opener for me, helping me find my voice, and interests and creating a safe haven to share. I'm really happy about that.
🎮 I started playing Civilization 7,released last week. I've been playing the series since Civ V and love the slow-paced turn-by-turn style of building your empire and gaining victory over your opponents. I decided to play without a power supply to ensure my battery died at one point, otherwise the one more turn thought would keep me away from a reasonable bedtime hour.
✍️ I'm walking the walk as I mentioned in Steal, don't copy. While the unhinged app looked really nice, allowing to keep track of emotions and connections, I decided to remain with Obsidian where all my knowledge is stored. With the help of some plugins (Moodtracker & Contribution graph) I recreated what Unhinged so everything remains in one tool.
📺 Watched
📺 Shogun: We haven't finished it yet but I love every episode.
📺 The Killer (👍- Liked it): A hitman that combats his own emotions and his former employer after a hit gone wrong. Great acting by Michael Fassbender, cold and methodical. Slow-paced. Left me craving for a bit more. Slight negative details at the ending.

📗 Meditations for Mortals by Oliver Burkeman
🎧 World without End by Ken Follett
📱 Apps in focus
- 📺 Quick reviews: An app created by Matt Birchler to share nice-looking images of reviews of movies, tv, music, ... While I keep logging my watch-list and review via Sofa, I'm using Quick Reviews to share online.
🏋️ Fitness log
- 🏃: 30km (good - 5 runs completed)
- 🚴: 15km (low - full week working from home)
