Weekly rewind - W09-10 ⏪

Again, a 2 bumpy weeks I've had. And again, not related to work or the family but rather with managing myself and my energy. And my tendency to derail during the day. I'm happy I'm still running, but unfortunately, a lot of the good habits have been put on hold because I didn't feel like it or because I forgot. I'm taking action to block out all distractions and I'm trying to put me daily in the right direction, however, it's a path a trial and error. And I'm not there yet. It feels great to have a day with a lot of accomplishments, however, on some days I'm still not able to get moving at all.
I've also been neglecting this blog, and it saddens me. I actually enjoy writing very much, and I love that feeling when hitting the publish button. Sadly, writing here is not an ingrained habit, and if I miss a writing window, I have the tendency to let it slip even more.
⏪ Weeks in rewind
👦 The past weeks with Bart have been great, reducing the pressure at home. I think it's a combination of his medication and going to school only part-time. We didn't have any outbursts as we used to have daily. However, while all this is great, we also learned that his learning has decreased at school which is not a sustainable situation. We're talking with coaches and psychologists on what to do, but it takes a lot of time. Hopefully we manage to find something which works for all us.
🏃➡️ While most of my hobbies have been put on hold, I've kept true to my running routine. I'm even at a daily routine, going out for at least 5km daily. It started as way to get Bart out with his bike in the afternoon, which now became a habit for the both of us. And I don't mind. I like it even, as it acts as another motivator to get me go outside. And my body is coping well with all this running, and I feel my fitness improving.
🧖♂️ The boys were off for the weekend with their youth movement. They were looking forward to it so much, so when the pickup bus arrived they were off in no time. I'm happy they had a great time, and so did I and my wife. We went to a spa hotel, enjoying relaxation, lots of sauna sessions and good food. Great to recharge our batteries and having quality time together.
👃 As Nelson had nosebleeds fairly often, we went to see a doctor that burned some small veins that should block the nosebleeds from happening. While it looked like a simple action, my son told me it was very painful, and he also wasn't allowed to do any sports for a week. Hopefully frequent nosebleeds are a thing of the past now.
🎧 We've had some bad luck with the headphone jack that broke while still connected into the iPad. As a result, a small part of the jack is stuck and I've tried some YT tutorials on how to easily to fix, however, without luck.
☀️ The weather has been extremely nice the past 2 weeks. We've had sunshine every single day and temperatures going up to 20 degrees even which I quite a high for this time a year. It's nice to have such kind of energizing weather, but it's also worrying with the changing climate.
📺 Watched
📺 We're still watching Sambre.
🎞️ I started watching Gladiator 2. It looks great and everything but I already feel it isn't able to reach the same level as the previous one.
📚 Reading
I'm happy I've been able to spend more time with my (audio) books.
📗 I continued reading Codename Verity.
🎧 And I started listening to Don't let go by Harlan Coben. I've only listened for a few hours but it's very captivating, especially with the voice of John Chancer.
