⏪ Week in rewind
🎒 Easter holidays came to an end, so the boys had to go back to school. While it's good they went back to their known routine, I think they suffered from the switch to school, getting up early and doing after-school activities. Except for Nelson, they were difficult to handle.
💻 Working from home remains a difficult topic, where I'm either laser-guided or slack for parts of the day. I'm not sure whether it was due to working from home the whole week, but some days I just didn't feel like it and had to drag myself through the day.
💪 I remained consistent to my strength training, doing a session daily. While going easy on my quadriceps (after the strain of last week) I did focus on push-ups, sit-ups, plank,... I'm very happy with this consistency knowing it'll help my running, health and wellbeing over the long run.
🏃 Speaking of running, while initially starting easy for my quad with a test run of 2 & 4km, I did end the week with +50km. Most was gained with my 20km run yesterday, which was very hard. I've done many of these runs before, but the one yesterday made me remember my marathon of 3 years ago where I had similar difficulties. My legs were hurting, and I had to push through to finish it. In the end, I think it was a combination of the warm temperature and not enough food and drinking before the run. I still feel the discomfort today, so this was a good wake-up call to properly prepare for every training.
⚽ The boys had their last game of the football season, with only a few tournaments left for them to play. It's a pity for them, but it does free up some time for us, not having to taxi them around, often to different locations at the same time.
✈️ I reflected on and wrote about the tools and apps I used the most during our trip to Malta.

📱 Apps in focus
- Unhinged. A simple mood and people tracker, micro journal,... It looks great and is easy to use, keeping track of things and seeing how they affect your well-being. I've been playing around with Unhinged before, but didn't commit to it, as I journal with Obsidian. But as I now want to log a lot more and see how it affects me (like sports, sleep, stomach,...), I've decided to give Unhinged another go. And the recent addition to set a reminder for people also makes it easy to follow up on small interactions you would otherwise maybe forget.
