Weekly rewind - W30 ⏪
⏪ Week in rewind
🍟 Nelson is still at youth camp, and the twins have been off to the grandparents, allowing me and Marge some us time. While we did take the opportunity to spend time together and go out for dinner, I also noticed we've been neglecting some aspects of our wellbeing. With the boys at home, we're quite consistent on daily planning and food, but with them away, we've been working a lot longer and ordered some unhealthy takeaway since we didn't take the time to cook for the two of us.
☑️ I've not had the best week, work-wise. While I did do what was expected of me, I did not tackle what I had put on my to-do list. I had amazing support from Focus Flight, doing focused sessions while I was in the zone. However, I only activated these sessions from time to time, and the other times I was more distracted than ever. Again, working from home was difficult, but going to the office is not the solution, as all my team colleagues work elsewhere. This week I'm trying something different, putting my work log online in the social.lol community to keep me accountable and focused. If you want to keep an eye on my progress, let me know.
🎽 In 3 weeks I'll start my marathon training schedule for Valencia (Dec 7th), but I don't feel ready for it yet. My mileage is not what it's supposed to be, so with the few weeks ahead, I'm trying everything to be at my best for when my real training starts. One thing that I've started doing which helps is to keep track of my weight, food and drinking. I log what I drink via Waterminder and log everything I eat via Foodnorms. In doing so, I ensure I drink enough and think twice about what I eat as I need to log it, and remain below my set goal. This has been working well, and I have been able to get my weight down.
🦸 I've been getting caught up on comics over the weekend. We got a subscription to a Belgian service providing access to a lot of them (except for Tintin) for the boys to read their children's favourites, but upon checking, they also offer a decent amount of adult comics. As I had a headache on Saturday and spent a lot of my time on the sofa, I read a few and I've been enjoying them very much.
