Weekly rewind - W31 ⏪
From my run on Sunday. All day was sunnny, until I went out for my run.
⏪ Week in rewind
☑️ I've had a much better workweek compared to the past weeks. For the majority of the week, except perhaps Friday, I was quite focused on everything I needed to do. And this while I still worked from home 3 days in the past week. What helped, besides setting up blockers, was to post openly about my tasks and progress on the social.lol community. Knowing they could check and ask about my progress helped me stay accountable. I'm not there yet, but I feel I'm heading in the right direction.
🏃 Similarly to working, I've had a decent week when it came to running. Going from only a handful of km in the past weeks, I managed to get to 32km last week. I'm not at the volume I wish to be yet, but I've taken the cautious route and not overdo it to remain injury-free. Getting one now would have devastating results for my marathon in December.
📙 As I continued reading regular books and comics, I transformed a very old iPad into a reading device. Once a device goes outside the OS support, a lot of apps are dropping their support, but luckily, it's still able to run Apple Books, which is fine for my reading. I also created a Goodreads account to keep track of what I'm reading.
📈 They finally changed the electric meter of our house, from an analogue version to a digital one. For years, I was keeping track of our electricity and water consumption manually, but with this change and adding some Homewizard accessories, I'm now able to see it in a quick and easy way. Of course, it's a new gadget, but the visibility this tool provides has made the whole family much more aware and cautious of our consumption.
🧠 I've been experimenting with Obsidian and a plug-in called Daily Notes Editor. It provides a constant feed of all your daily notes instead of viewing them one by one. Similar as to how Logseq would show them. It's a nice concept and I like how I can user it to scroll through my notes and make additions where needed. One thing I did notice is that tags, which in my setup are shown in the right rail, do not always reflect the correct daily note I would be looking at.
