Weekly rewind - W45 ⏪
The main attraction during the weekend, a squirrel feasting on the nuts and water we put outside.
⏪ Week in rewind
A few days late with this rewind, but we were off for the long weekend and I deliberately chose to disconnect.
🏕️ We enjoyed a long weekend off with the family in the North of Holland. As it was just a regular weekend, not linked to a school holiday, the domain we stayed at was calm and quiet, so no overwhelm of waiting for any of the activities the boys wanted to do. And as the domain was located in the beautiful Veluwe, walking and running in the area was tremendously enjoyable, especially this season.
🏃 The viral infection issues seem to have finally passed in the family. At least when it comes to how we're feeling as we're still suffering a runny nose. But I'm happy I'm feeling completely ok again, being able to run without issues. As under-trained in the past 3 weeks, I chose not to overdo from the get-go. I still ran 6 days in the past week, but at a very lower intensity than my regular schedule.
📧 I'm still in the transition phase to my Proton email, which I guess will take many more weeks as I've been using the same email address for the past 20+ years. Instead of going all-in, changing everything at once, I take action according to emails that come in or apps I use frequently. Even if you're considering a switch, an exercise to review all emails that you get can be a good incentive to unsubscribe from newsletters that you get but don't read.
🥊 I'm still in a battle with our security department as they blocked the whole Proton domain due to possible historical spam. It doesn't really matter to me whether they take action, but it has become rather a discussion of principle as I feel you can't block a complete provider just for one rotten apple/experience.
📱 I recently got access to the new Digg, but I only invested little time in it. At the moment it feels like a light version or Reddit. Maybe that's what it's supposed to be.
🤖 With the latest update of iOS I got the new Apple Intelligence and while I didn't play with it yet, I already found that I can't just say set a timer for 5 minutes. Strangely, it doesn't capture the time, so I always have to repeat how long the timer should be set for. Talk about convenience...
📺 Watched
- 📺 This is Not a Murder Mystery. A murder mystery set before and during the surreal art exhibition, starring Magritte, Dali, Ernst,... While we initially needed to get past the first episode, we enjoyed this whodunit show.
