Weekly rewind - W50 ⏪
Christmas decoration at the shop in need of a lot of electricity
⏪ Week in rewind
💪 I'm getting back to my former self. Last week was the first week since long where I didn't struggle with anything health-related. I'm still not sure if it was a viral infection or my stomach. Or a combination. I'm still taking protective pills and have a stomach checkup in the hospital later this week, so let's see what comes out of that. But I'm happy I finally feel better again.
🏃 I've not done any running since my word class performance of last week, finishing the Valencia marathon, which I didn't think was possible. I've been living on cloud nine ever since, and as Valencia felt like my resurrection, I registered for the 2026 edition (again with friends).
📔 I'm still enjoying my manual note-taking, but I must admit it's hard to keep up. I don't have the habit of writing immediately (yet) so I feel behind, where I update days and notes the day after. However, what I wrote last week is valid. It's much easier to get a view on everything via my notebook than any other system I used before.
🎄 Over the weekend we put up and decorated our Christmas tree. And it was such a joy, as the boys helped with everything and put on a Christmas hat, while old Christmas songs played in the background.
⚽ Nelson had a soccer tournament on Saturday, where one of the most memorable moments was their comeback from a 3-0 disadvantage, tying right before the end, and winning via penalties. How proud we (parents) were to witness this.
👻 I'm not sure if it's because I only returned on Monday evening, or had a lot of work to catch up to, or something else, but I feel I've not been online much. I only partially caught up with my RSS feeds and haven't even checked my Mastodon feed in over a week.
⚡ We had an electricity outage last night, where one part of the house went dark while watching TV. A check of the circuit board didn't show anything wrong, as all switches were in the right direction. Luckily, the electrician was willing to come quickly to find a faulty internal switch, which he quickly replaced.
📺 Watched
- 📺 The beast in me. We restarted after I returned from Valencia and it really sucked us in, binging one episode after the next, until the ending climax. One of the better Netflix shows we watched this year (4/5).
